Review:

The purpose of this methodological guide is to improve the enhancement and protection of geological heritage in the planning of any project submitted by law to EIS , but the methodologies developed in this regard, have not considered satisfactory in their analysis including places of geological interest. In this guide the most frequent impacts that potentially affect the geological heritage according to various activities are identified . The key is to properly select the part of the technical methods most appropriate for the specific needs of each EIS . Therefore, in this paper an overview is provided for the special geological heritage in Spain and methodology of study, but above all, a simple application methodology affecting geological sites is proposed. This process will be facilitated to develop once and go completing and updating the Spanish Stock Sites of geological interest , the provisions of Law 42/2007 and Royal Decree 556/2011 , as a fundamental component of the Natural Heritage Inventory and Spanish Biodiversity .
